⛔Decision Intelligence is not just simply the same old solutions with a new fancy name! The Decision Intelligence is not about #ai #machinelearning #llms #algorithm #process or even #data #insight.
Decision Intelligence is a framework for thinking about how business decisions are made and their outcomes evaluated and improved through feedback loops.
💢 However, it does not define “decision” or “intelligence”. More importantly, It also does not define how decisions can be modeled or how to achieve intelligence.
If we do not do anything special about “Decision” and “Intelligence” then “Decision Intelligence” will be no different from any #lowcode #nocode automation that already combines #process, #rules, and #data.
🤔How is it different then?
“Decision” is a hierarchical and multistep model that represents a holistic business decision. How can you build a decision and execute it?
– Select a business decision
– Define the facts concept related to the business decision
– Decompose the business decision into smaller, easier-to-understand decision units
– Identify the information needed for input (based on the fact concept related to business decision)
– Specify the dependencies between the units and their input data
– Determine the metrics of each decision unit and how they are related to the KPIs of business decision
Completing the above ☝️ steps will create a hierarchical decision graph that represents a holistic view of a complex business decision.

What about Intelligence?
💡Intelligence is not a single point that you either achieve or not. Intelligence is achieved gradually and incrementally. Decision Intelligence Architecture defines the 5 layers of intelligence:

– Expert Intelligence
– Cognitive Intelligence
– Autonomous Intelligence
Now start determining the nature of decision units. Are they based on the domain's #rules #procedures #calculation #formulas? Model the decision logic individually for each unit, and you have achieved “Intelligence Core” for the chosen business decision in the specific domain.
